With a love for chunky colours, chunky lifestyles and with an even chunkier personality, team Jotty aspires to be the number one independent personlised notebook brand. We developed a brand Identity that brings bold curves and chunks of fun to the party, as well as developing a visual language that could speak to a growing community seeking personalisation rather than off-the-shelf.

The stationery market is packed and saturated — So, a recognisable logo-mark was a priority to gain attention. Bold curves, colours and interchangeable modules were developed as a natural precursor to the personalisation process that Jotty trades on. With personalisation and gender freedom inherent within the brand, the chunky letterforms take care of the overall attitude and style that is applied across the brands family of notebooks, planners and diaries.

Rules are there to be broken, although by creating a set of rules to govern Jotty's development was key to enable growth and consistency. We built a consise yet powerful brand guideline document covering brand anatomy, construction, visual language and tone of voice that would enable the brand to flourish.

Outcome — Photography

The chosen visual language is bright and bold. Static overhead photography is used for marketing materials and website use, the imagery visually describes each notebook and diary category with corresponding contextual materials and ephemera.
